Every day i am getting people call me asking me to help them with their sites!.

I get the same line from them every time `I need a black hat to get me some traffic` they say.

As i ask more questions and as they tell me their story it is always the same give or take a few small details.

Google has kicked my white hat sites and my rankings are dropping like a stone from no.1 to no.100.

Going back two or three years you could launch a site into the search engines and it would get some kind of ranking within weeks if not days and of course this would result in traffic and if you were lucky you would even get the odd lead.

With the implementation of the filters which have been put in place to stop sites ranking for a few months if not years and the tightening up of the algorithms my the search engines people who had a good position for their business and were earnign good money from their sites are suddenly finding they are falling below the fold and their traffic and leads are becoming very cold.

They guys are sick of writing good content and building natural links just for their positions to drop at every update. The time and effor they are putting into their sites is no longer providing the reaward that it did a few years ago or even a few months ago.

This is where they seek out a `Black Hat Seo` to get them fast and dirty traffic using every technique they possibly can and wjen they realise that the sandbox is here to stay they suddenly lose any morals towards content and natural linking and focus purely on getting the visitor in.

This is a win but lose situation for the black hats seo`s becuse there is increased competition for us but the white hats that have been riding high previously are wanting to recruit us.

Who is responsible for the rise in spamming the search engines and the rise of black hat seo?

Google! thats who is the main cause of all this. Google is creating a situation where they are complaing about black hat but they are the main ones causing it. If they let those that needed to rank to keep their business going with legitimate techniques we would all be in a better situation and this would mean no need for spam becuse we all could just make a nice living.

I personally was involved in the internet in the pre-sandbox days so i can remember just doing a bit of legitimate work to get myself a ice steady income without any spamming. People that come to the internet now to try and make a crust for their family are having to use more aggressive seo techniques just to make a few dollard and i personally dont think thats in the best interest for anyone.

What is the solution?

I dont have the answers to that but if google was to relaese the sandbox and make the path a lot clearer for those that wanted to rank a site they would clear a lot of the spam up overnite becuse there would be just no need for it.
